our food

Our Birmingham location offers easy access to a vast array of amazing local produce.  So, from fresh fruit and vegetables, to artisan cheeses and baked goods, much of what we use is sourced directly from local producers to reduce road miles and support the Shop Local | Buy Local movement.

We also work in close partnership with food surplus providers such as The Active Wellbeing Society and FareShare Midlands. What this means is we reduce food waste by taking excess food and turning it into tasty, healthy meals for our Kindness Cafe, catered event menus, and free community meals for those experiencing food poverty.

Fruit and vegetables make up a very large part of our raw ingredients, and we look to source organic produce wherever possible.

Our menus for all our catered events, from weddings to corporate lunches, are shaped around the seasonal produce available at the time of the event.  So there'll be roasted squash risottos in the autumn and crisp griddled Evesham asparagus spears in spring and early summer.  Fresh, local, seasonal and delicious.

We're always looking to increase our use of environmentally friendly, organic, local and fair trade products, and keep our menus and recipes, fresh and interesting.  If you are a local producer and you think your product is right for ChangeKitchen CIC, please drop us a line - we'd LOVE to hear from you!
