Back in 2010, the ChangeKitchen team was a small team with a big ambition; to convert a former Birmingham drop-in centre into a commercial catering kitchen. It was hard work, but we're pleased to say we achieved our goal.

Since those humble beginnings back in June 2010, we’ve used that same Birmingham city centre base to successfully ‘cook up change’ for countless amazing local and national events.

We've welcomed and offered training to many many volunteers and successfully supported a number of ChangeKitchen team members back into the paid labour market.

Over the years we’ve been joined by some fantastic people. Drawn from the broadest range of backgrounds every member of the ChangeKitchen team - staff & volunteer - has a story to tell. But most importantly, every member of the team is incredibly enthusiastic about what we do and passionate about the difference good food can make to people's lives.

ChangeKitchen CIC is different because it gives people opportunities to work in a nurturing and warm team environment. We strive to make an impact through every aspect of our business from the way we source our ingredients, produce and serve our food, right through to how we manage our waste.
